The Tale of G’a'B

What’s a Gem’a’Bow? And how did it come to be. I’ll tell you.

It all began in the 1800’s, when women wore bustles and long trains on a regular basis. Along with .. oh.. 10 other skirts underneath. But for the sake of the silhouette, it was a worthy trade.

Fast forward to the 1980’s, long silk robes trailing behind powerful women in their lavish homes as they get ready for bed, groovy synthesizer music playing in the background.

And here we are now.. in the glorious 2000’s. And yet the train, bustle and gliding silk is no where to be seen on the streets. Okay, maybe behind closed doors, but rarely in silk, and rarely structured with intention.

This is where the Gem’a’Bow comes in and is conceived.

________

We are sister duo Gemma and Elija. Our mom - Giedre, and Grandmother Sigute. The girls.

Sigute - a renowned doll maker, has been crafting victorian dolls with poofy dresses and underskirts for years. Giedre - an intuitive crystal jewelry maker and healer. Elija - an honorable J-fashion fan, who will actually go all out and wear a knee length corset gown, with an underskirt, the whole sha-bang. A real life walking breathing princess doll. And me, Gemma, I’m the one who solves the puzzle. Or at least paints the picture. Actually, just serves it up as wearable art for all the women to wear and enjoy. As a reflection of us all. From now, yesterday and centuries before.

The Gem’a’Bow is a talisman, a modernized artifact, wearable art, heirloom, cover up, transformational piece, the 10 ounce gown, half skirt, a dazzler… it’s in a category of it’s own, yet it feels like it (should’ve) existed …forever.

The girls needed this.

And it’s available for everyone that gets it. :)

Now please, do me a favor, and *GaB* about it. <3

Many blessings,

Gemma
